I just got back from my first ride of the 6'4 Bonzer Biscuit.

Waist to head high, perfect conditions. Wow, what a board! It was effortlessly fast, but still turned on a dime. WTF? How can it do both those things?

It paddles well, duck dives ok.

I want a complete quiver of them: 6'4, 6'8, 7'2 & 7'6.

Just saw on Insta that Ross is selling a 2nd hand 6'4" Miller SubX, i reckon that might suit you as well.

Ha! I've seen it before. It's got a big shark repellent box laminated into bottom of the board.

How was that board he made for you? It looked really good to me.

Ah, the shark box wasn’t on Insta.

The channel bottom is great, so much speed and control when the waves have a bit of push.

Well guys so far it's working fine as a thruster in head and a half high waves (the difference between chalk and cheese). There were a few bigger ones, but I got those on the head.

What's the fccckn point in it? the negatives seem to outweigh the (if any) benefits. Surely most board would go ok in those conditions other then a complete groveller.

They might go OK but most surfers won't get many waves when it's bigger.

The point for me is getting and riding waves when it's over head and a half to double. I'm fcuking 69 and usually the oldest in the water by 10 or 20 years. I need paddle power.

Yeah I hear you Cranked, I just meant that board does not seem to give you any positives, can;t paddle and doesn't hold. Get rid.

Haha! Was out with Jim at one of his favourite spots this morning. He was trying out a 7' single. I was trying to talk him into giving the 5 fin Bonzer design a go.

Head and a half and it was going pretty well. A few guys commented, in and out of the water, how easy it was for me to paddle into the waves

Ditching the 2+1 (that's what I used this morning) and quad though, it works much better as a thruster.

Some boards take a while to figure out. I've never ridden wide point forward boards before so I've been a bit tentative.

Not thinking of giving up on my 5 McCoys for the next Bali season though.

Kindness of strangers and all that. You know deep down that Wombat sucks arse.

Anyone who has ridden Tuflite McCoys for over 20 years is totally immune to criticism of their choice of surfboard.
