Think I'm gonna get a 7'4 nugget today to complete my McCoy quiver: 6'1, 6'8, 7', 7'4.

Good to go for anything from ankle to well over double overhead.

Also have a more conventional quiver 6'5, 6'6, 7', 7'5 and a 9'2 mal I haven't ridden yet.

I wonder how long it will be before I recognize a deficiency that requires a new purchase or a trade?

Mrs Cranked has instigated a $50 surfboard purchase tax to encourage quiver stability, bless her heart.

so is this shape suitable for beachies or is it more of a point break board? 6'10" x 21.5" x 2.75". Not looking at buying, just to learn a bit.

What's it got on it now? Been for sale a long time. You'd get a better idea feeling it up. Hard to say, but you'd catch lots of waves i imagine.

Where's it for sale, I'd love that board. Beaches or points i reckon it's a great shape for all waves that aren't too steep on the take off.

Bought the little "zig" fins and also the Patterson fins to try to really loosen it up in small surf. They front ones are grom fins. Nick says use the smallest fins you can, I'll try it out haha. Hoping to be able to use this as my 1 board quiver.

I know Steve hates it but daylight savings is a godsend and at this year's dls I aim to start getting out way more. That was this years plan but renos and other shit got in the way. They won't be there next year so

Will do. Have used similar setups on quads over the years. Normally full sized fronts though. I stand forward on my boards, especially longer ones, so standard fins make the board feel longer again with my stance. Anyway, il see. Good excuse to get out more

One of the locals up here loves those zig fins.
He's a tech lover. Has a trace on his board. Reckons he uses his trace in combination with zig fins to dial in the exact fin setup when he gets new boards.

Nice matching blue, Beery. Those fins look good. I would also be all over that orange number.

To be honest the board didn't look to engage that well in the top third of the wave, like the pressure is taken off instead of applied. and the recovery on that deep carve looked nursed, not solid. Looks more like a single fin on a board that size in those waves would've been the better option ?

Those C buckets look tasty.

But if i was to get a new midlength I'd be going to a firewire seaxe next. 7'2 or 7'6. Would be a tough decision.

Lots of rolled V (belly in the reviewers terms, or a hull by another name) throughout with a big soft rail and lots of volume (hahaha, gotta tell Geoff McCoy about this, Christenson has been riding McCoys, I'll request concaves next time). Then single concave within the rolled V at the front into a double concave within the rolled V at the tail. At about the 9 min mark he talks about how reactive the round rails and roll is.

Description sounded similar to Murray Burtons Cathedral Bottom. Watched the surfing video that was with it. Not my cup of tea. Looks like a nice glass job though.
