I wonder if the flow eggs just get surfed by the wrong surfers in the wrong conditions.
The board I remember looking at wasn't exactly a high volume cruiser board.
From memory, it was 20 wide, which for a 6'8 is on the narrow side.
The rails were quite low, and the tail was thinned out too with a fair bit of tail curve in it.
I remember looking at it thinking that you'd need some juice before it would get fun.
With all that in mind I leant towards the glass slipper from memory. didn't have the room in the board bag to bring it home.

Double ender. But you could be right. I've had boards so wrong for Sydney surf and moved them on. I've pretty much landed on performance hybrid fishes about an inch or 2 taller than I. 6'10 shortboard tri for the biggest I'll surf.

Exception 7'4 DVS for small or junk.

The one I remember looking at was that size with pinched rails and a rolled bottom. I've seen pictures of other more racy looking boards.

I have learnt somethings about midlengths recently, if they re under 7ft concaves are the go, over 7ft they have enough length to not require concaves. Perhaps the Flô eggs people have ridden are too short & don't have concaves???

Rails are super important if the midlength is a single fin. I saw some shockingly thick 7fters yesterday which will set someone back $1,000 or more. Big full rails, flat decks, 2 3/4 thick....I would never be able to turn them

Those Devon Howard mini eggs look fun

Fondled a nice looking 7.6 made by some bloke in Byron. Sort of a wider tracker outline, knife rails, very rolled vee.
Looked nice with the cutlaps and tints, but would be an absolute handful in anything but excellent walling waves.

I'm riding mine in good powerful waves where control is the thing: for a near 8' board it turns on a dime and drops into the biggest walls perfectly.

Added bonus is it turns well from anywhere on the board. Over double overhead I think I will be the problem, not the board.

Should be a few doubles coming in this morning, just waiting for another 6" on the tide. Probably will take the McCoy though. Yesterday at dawn I had the primo peak with just one other guy - 30 in the afternoon - but I took a 6'6 fish - duh!

Definitely not, its grown into a shark...

Whale fish...Speed fish...King fish....need a chart to know the species?

Carver fish...Fun fish....Big fish, wheres that chart?
