Think I will sell the side cut twinnie. I want to keep myself to 3 boards if I can
I have been surfing a single fin midlength pretty much exclusively since October making a fairly miserable SE Qld summer fun, I catch a wave every 5 minutes & ride to the sand whilst those on their shortboards flap & wiggle for a couple of seconds........I haven't surfed my 5"11's in ages

Yeah, fkuk it. When I get home from down south, I'm selling some boards and getting myself a 2+1 mid length. DVS all rounder is a front runner but I might go talk to the boys at carabine also.

Life's too short to have boards you arent surfing

You won't be sorry if you do BF. Did a little bit of nose riding over the summer (albeit terribly) but then it is great up to 6ft. Had to force myself to start riding my short boards.

The DVS alrounder is a great board, cuttlefish had a carbon 8ft er which he loved and sold to someone on here I think. Mine is a morning of the earth, It's only 2 & 7/16 thick, I don't like chunky rails because I am light weight. It has beautiful rails which I think is key, takes a drop, the rail engages no dramas, carves beautifully off the tail, cheater 5's and yes........ I will have to force myself to get back on my 5"11's or just sell em

Good point on the rails. 50/50 rails on AR. Happy to PM some rail shots if it helps your purchasing decision. Friend of mine who weighs about 63 kilos rode mine and is buying one in the same dins. But still a really great point on the rails, he only rode in small surf, I'm not sure he could get bigger turns in bigger stuff. No I do not work for DVS.

Not a serious buyer SaltM, but I do find that board totally intriguing. I have no idea how it would surf under my feet.

The board is 7'9 channel bottom round tail. Nice waves for it. Wouldnt have minded seeing a little more bite in the turns.

I rode my 7ft quad elongated fish in the 4/5 ft day we had this week. It's was like paddling in on a mini mal but like riding a 6'6 as its so lose at the back and so fast with a pronounced single concave up and deep concave/v at back. Almost like cheating. Made my week. 7ft is a nice length for the 100 kilo club.

Wondering how your Saltman twin would go with some smaller quad stabilisers. Just wondering.

My iPad makes it look like its 13" wide.
I like 7' and I only weigh around 80kilos.
Then again I'm an old Cnut. Had a run on 6'6" for a while but never found what I was looking for.

Actually you're right the weight of a rider is irrelevant with a good board.

/\ that clip. The boards looked like it was skittering through its turns. It was a quad? If so, a decent sized single fin instead would've been a much smoother option.

I really didn't like that clip, and agree with Iggy.

Seemed to be riding it as a twin.

But I'm keen as hell to go to El Salvador now.

Good surfing, but that board wasn't quite doing it.
We're there some big channels I saw in it? Too much lift and not enough drive?
