Jet will prob buy it.
Looks nice.
I was very tempted. But I’ve been put on an allowance by the Minister of War and finance. Must include all surfboard and beer purchases. Haven’t board a new board since the Jye Byrnes 6’10. Haven’t needed to. The quiver has a bit of everything in it so I I haven’t needed to. Might update the quiver thread.

I had a 6’0 firewire tomo SKX on the gumtree for ages. Had I sold it in time, i would’ve had the coin to take that off iggy’s hand and get some sidebites put in later. Wasn’t to be though. Sold prior to me raising the funds.

There's a lot of good shapers doing that kind of board. Brett Munro is pumping out some quality boards right next door. Dick Harvey up on the Gold Coast.

What size are you thinking Thud? I have an 8-oh as a longboard replacement and really enjoy it .... So much so I am thinking of getting a 6"8-10

Hey jam, was it you with a Jye Byrnes crossbreed?
Your dimensions and the board dimensions, and any comments?
Cheers

This whole midlength thread is so tardworthy. It’s like talking about tradie Utes and tyres and shit. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, except the tard level of it. So worthy.

Well there is a lot to like Thud. I had been looking and pondering for at least a couple of years. Then I dropped by a store in Byron which had a 7ft something and an 8-oh. The outline of the 8-oh is beautiful and although I can ride a log, I don't really gel with them.

The 8ft Vish is a great alternative, get in early and can take off much deeper than your average longboarder. Plenty of swoop and glide, faster than a rolled bottom single fin, move forward to trim turn off the tail. It's surprisingly nimble for a big board.

The board is well thought out and balanced, often longer fish have a wide tail but the Vish has a pulled in tail. Pretty handy on a steep beachie and when you want to turn. I have futures K2 fins but wish I had glass ons.

Thinking of a shorter version as I am not keen on duck diving the 8-oh. Very versatile boards, I ve ridden it in clean waves, slop, beachies and points.
