I just figure... if someone's silly enough to paddle a standard shortboard on on a high tide full beach break, why should I give them any waves?

It's sometime difficult to be sarcastic in such a short post.

Never forget one time this guy paddling up to me at Bronte and trying to explain that the take off I was getting about 30 mtrs out from where he and his mates were taking off wasn't the take off and that I should paddle in to their take off......where they would take off inside me. No...I'm a bit dense like that...sorry.

The thought did cross my mind. He seemed to think I was getting twice as long a ride and all the set waves because I was confused.

No, struggled to put it up for sale. Few months of regular surfing and it'd be my good wave board. In fairness I haven't had many waves on it in good waves so would like to wait til I've tried it in the right waves before thinking of selling. The little 5'4" I could sell, though wrong time of year haha, and I'll give it a good run before I sell it.

It's been a good weekend for the midlength brethren up here, the points have been great & it picked up nicely. I really enjoy the extra rail length on the points, beautiful swooping long rides. I managed to get up near enough on the nose of my 7'6 gato piggy & it accelerates crazily which is a hoot. I don't care what anyone says, they re fun & they keep my wave count up
