Re: Rebuilding the big 17
Incorrect, that board could stand a two ton truck driving over it, there was a major impact, DOH shorebreak slammed the board nose first into the sand and then broke on top of it, the forces in the wave opposing each other from top to bottom, the board bent wildly and shook it was crazy to see.

No. Correct.Roy_Stewart wrote:Incorrect, that board could stand a two ton truck driving over it, there was a major impact, DOH shorebreak slammed the board nose first into the sand and then broke on top of it, the forces in the wave opposing each other from top to bottom, the board bent wildly and shook it was crazy to see.
My old NSP mini mal blew off the roof of my car doing 100km/h down the freeway.
I just put it back on the car and surfed it that day. It was fine.
Your price does not justify the quality.
Poor workmanship.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

So, it was poorly designed for the intended purpose.Roy_Stewart wrote:Incorrect, that board could stand a two ton truck driving over it, there was a major impact, DOH shorebreak slammed the board nose first into the sand and then broke on top of it, the forces in the wave opposing each other from top to bottom, the board bent wildly and shook it was crazy to see.
You can drive a 2 tonne truck on the concrete in my driveway, doesn't mean it's seaworthy.

Poor workmanship.
Poor design, regardless of workmanship.

Not at you, although the way you wrote it is the wrong way around.
The crack I was making fun of is the massive one in Roy's board.

i dont get it why everyone questions your boards ability to go overhead. Finally you have put the proof up!!
its the only way we will see your boards go overhead.

Re: Rebuilding the big 17
Not at all, it rides very well and is very robust for such a long thin board ( it has a length to thickness ratio o 82:1 ) the incident was unusual.alakaboo wrote:

Re: Rebuilding the big 17
If you are talking about 'overhead' as in wave height you don't even know what it means.Glamarama wrote:roy

Please show me the smallest wave you would classify as 'overhead'.

Re: Rebuilding the big 17
By the way a board flying off the roof is nothing compared with what happened to this one.
Re: Rebuilding the big 17
Yeah, I can see it'd be unusual for your boards to be in waves that were breaking, let alone overhead.Roy_Stewart wrote:Not at all, it rides very well and is very robust for such a long thin board ( it has a length to thickness ratio o 82:1 ) the incident was unusual.alakaboo wrote:

Re: Rebuilding the big 17
Ah, so that's what the helmet is for............carrying the boards on your noggin.
Re: Rebuilding the big 17
the sad thing is that was the first video of Roy's that actually had me interested in riding the board.
