Hey guy's, just wondering if any of you have ever ridden or currently ride a Simon Anderson KB? If so, what do you think about it, what's type of fin set up do you have, and what does it perform best in?

Cheers guys, I'm just curious about it after recently picking one up second hand. I got a 5'10 by 20 2 1'2. I'm roughly 80kg and just have FCS M5 generic resin fins on it at the moment. However, the surf has been absolutely shit, so I'v only taken it out once so far.

Anyway, would greatly appreciate it if you guys had any info for me.

Cheers,
Cini

do you mean Simon's old square tail Energy KneeBoards? or does he have a stand up model called KB?

a guy at bronte rides stand up on a red energy. he recently had a local shaper copy it, with an added inch or two.

No it's a stand up shortboard/fish. I think it is designed off his knee-board template, although I'm not to sure.

I thought the KB was an eighties inspired thruster shortboard. Flat rocker, v tail, lots of volume etc.

I've never ridden that board but I've ridden plenty of 80's thrusters. Yours will be improved enormously over an 80's thruster. I reckon it'd be a fantastic summer board if it's sized right. If you can I'd suggest getting some better fins in it though - you'll want to drive that board...think power surfing.

Good luck.

sweet, thanks heaps buzzy. What kind of fins would you recommend? currently just riding M-5's, as that's what i'm familiar with. I am new to the fish board, so would appreciate any input. Cheers!!
