You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Re: Earl 10'6" wooden longboard
Only a kook would ask why crouching occurs in surfing, especially when strong offshores are happening.TrevG wrote:Why does he crouch down? :?offshore1 wrote:

Thus you are either a kook or are trying to appeal to kooks.

Of course. Silly me.offshore1 wrote:so he doesn't get shot obviously/.TrevG wrote:Why does he crouch down? :?offshore1 wrote:

A stupid answer. if I wanted to avoid being shot i'd wear a wetsuit which blended with the sea for camouflage.offshore1 wrote:so he doesn't get shot obviously/.TrevG wrote:Why does he crouch down? :?offshore1 wrote:

Don't worry the brain cells which you killed over the weekend won't regrow but the brain will make new ( and more circuitous ) pathways using the ones which remain.

Wow, sarcasm, I'm impressed.TrevG wrote:

The offshores were 20 to 28 mph during that session, but crouching is highly functional even in glassy conditions as anyone but a kook like yourself would know.

Re: Earl 10'6" wooden longboard
I've never thought of myself as being particulary 'strong' per se, but i am rather wiry. love ya roy.. get a chuckle every time you post.
Re: Earl 10'6" wooden longboard
Ok. You're right. I must be a kook.Roy_Stewart wrote:crouching is highly functional even in glassy conditions.TrevG wrote:

Just what "function" does it deliver in glassy conditions?
Hopefully I'll get an answer from someone who knows what they're talking about.
Don't bother applying, Roy.

Now you are talking sense for a change.TrevG wrote:

At least three:
Just what "function" does it deliver in glassy conditions?
1) lower wind resistance
2) It allows unweighting for lower drag and weighting for propulsion to ocur.
3) Better visibility for down the line control.
4) A lower centre of gravity and a lower centre of mass and effort.
.

That was four (so, yes, I guess "at least three" fits.
However they only apply on a real wave.
What it really means is you crouch down so you don't fall off.

What a lot of nonsense you spout Trev.
Your second and third statements are just completely wrong and the BS assumption that there are 'real' and 'not real' waves is laughable.
