Hi cuttles,
Just got back from surfing Byron in quite a gusty offshore wind......any dramas getting into the wave on a light weight board in such conditions?
Will talk to you soon about the fcs side bites.

hi Jason,
Paddling in not an issue with stiffer offhsores as I don't have much of the nose out of the water and it doesn't have any corkiness to its feel.
I've had one wave at Burleigh where the stiff offshore blowing up the face while doing a top turn made it interesting.
Byron looked maxed out on the cams for the first few days of this swell.
Noosa scored the cleanest lines for a change.
Normally look at the Snapper cam and think "lucky buggers" but not the first few days of this swell.
Hey Huie,
Always happy to see your boards you're just too deep for a simple chap like myself so the necessity for clarification.

Hey Pete,
That s good to hear, I ll have to demo the 6 2....39 liters is spot on for me at the mo. I found that the FireWire elf struggled......but thinking about it me and the elf just didn't get along with or without gusty winds
Off topic slightly, the crowds at snapper were hideous but not too bad in Byron today......the crumpet went well but I thought to myself a good quad would be rocking out here! (expect to see a sweet p on evil bay soon )
A nice hull would ve been the ticket as well.....might have to have a serious quiver rethink next year >><<

Re: The Diverse "Broad bean" Dynocore hybrid quiver killer.
You know I'm no fan of the elf.
I demoed it down at Byron and could not get it to go and the waves were super sucky and fast which is where the bean really shines.
Stiff offshores that day too btw.
The Broad bean just felt so good on the 5' set waves I was getting yesterday.
Looks are deceiving but it's blending of planshape curve and bottom contours and rocker work so well.
