Funny thing about Brewers, I was in Hawaii in 86 and my 2 mates got some boards made by Owl Chapman but they both ended up with Brewer labels on them, I'll have to have a look one day to see if Owl signed it, it's still up in the roof of his shed.

Owl shapes under the Brewer label.

This one is an Owl......A ticket to ride, as he says.

Mate. Right mouse click and select "view image"
You must have a very small screen. Even my old 16" thing shows the pic in full.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Hey crustt, I don't have any experience with guns, is 20 3\8" a standard width for that length ( 7'6")???.

No, not really, I'm 53 years old with a dodgy ticker. So I haven't got the strength in my arms anymore and I weigh over 90kg. When I first put these board under my arm , I freaked at the feeling of volume in them and the weight, but as soon as I surfed them all my doubts were gone, in the waves they were meant for they feel as light as a feather, the triple stingers are well worth the extra cost for the peace of mind that your not going to break a board during an epic holiday surf. The width on depends your needs, here is a link of the bloke who shaped the boards picturedhttp://www.kbsurf.com/index.php/guns/semi-guns it has dimensions and pics of your more average guns,

Topher wrote:Sick looking boards guys. I'm wondering what happens when you get caught inside on a big day with a board with so much volume? (I admit I am a big girls blouse and have never surfed in anything over 6-8 feet.)
I'm guessing the benefits of the extra paddle power to get onto waves, and to paddle around in turbulent sweepy water outweighs the negative of not really being able to duckdive.
I also suppose that if ya cop a 12foot wave on the head that it doesn't matter what kind of board you are on. :D
Surprisingly duckdiving is okay, it's surprising what you can do when fear is involved and your right , when a big one drops on your head the only difference would probably be the thicker board will come up in one piece.

hmm scored a 2nd 8'2 blank coincidently yesterday with a blemish near the nose. 7'10 x 19 1/2 template fits it perfectly. no excuses for me now. It's scaring me looking at it!

Just got - well last week a board that I shaped - but had glassed. Its 8 foot - and a pintail, so by length it may be considered a gun by some - but by an aging me - well its just a shortened mal.
Will try and post a few pics - once i remeber how to do it - doh.
Maybe it should go in New Board Porn :?

8'0" went great, specially on the day pictured. Quads worked good in this wave as I was able to take off on angle and go, some of the best surfers on there backhand were riding single fins, overall a good holiday though it was a bit crowded at times.

Na, was there for a month and didn't bother. The day that photo was taken was way to heavy for me round there, surfed what one youngun called the old mans wave, I can see his point but................ :)
