I just copped a feel of that Dynocore mini whilst picking up the "Broad bean" demo from Dave on my way through to Byron.
Dave explained to me the planshape is staying true to the Joe Baugess shape (type?) Ian Zamora brought with him to the annual Currumbin fish fry a few years back.
So the wide, low rockered nose and parrallel rails is a characteristic of the original shape.
I wanted to take it for a spin even though it was only 5' long but sported 38 litres but is in Dynocore eps construction which has made the board nice and light.
I'm used to my DMS which was 5'6" and 43 litres.
As the waves had been barrelling today Dave was keeping it for himself.
What was in the Dynocore van you ask?
A 10'er (Dave's daily driver) and the mini on the top deck.
The Broad bean and some pointy nosed Dynocore hpsb type things which big, burly old guys like me don't even bother to glance at anymore.
So now I'm sitting in my Safari tent at Suffolk with the sound of the waves breaking and ready to give the Broad bean another run.
May have to wait until tomorrow arvo or Monday as hopefully I'll be able to get a stall at the Byron markets tomorrow am.
Only a rat can win the rat race.

That is looking sweet. What are the dims mark? Are those 'shapers keels'? I have some of those in mine at the moment - good fun in some bigger waves!

5'6" x 22" x 2 3/4" for a bigger guy...yep, Shapers keels, they suit this board and have a nice twangy flex in them that gives the keels a nice feel....

it looks like my favourite hot buttered kneeboard from the early 80s has been reincarnated in wood.
