Now all we need is some waves @ Noosa.
Fine looking board Huie.
You've heard it all before ad-naseum but saying it anyway.
At least some of us will be able to check out/and or ride a proper hull.

first wave was a little left ....the speed was there
8)

no pumping

the moment u stand up ya in the sweet spot...no shuffling...that feels great

lots testing too come so i won't rave on ( yet)

i have never, eva ridden a board with these rails

bit out there

thanks huie.....i kinda look back at this boards place in history.....it wasn't a case u all just started chopping feet off the old mals

there was obviously a lot more design work involved.....

anyone on the sunny coast or visiting wants a go...just pm me

the whole boards a buzz

p.s the shorter board looks the goods too, waiting on some size give that a whirl

how bloody light is it   8)

had a o of the board today huei, not ri_ht conditions. spun the board out heaps,  . I absolutely loved it huei, excellent shape, its a still of ridin that is lost unfortunately. I would really love to test that board out a_ian in the correct conditions as the speed is there and the feelin is increditble. I love ridin different shapes and bein_ tested. I was found out short today and surfed like a kook but boy can I feel its potential huei. Awesome board.

I'm not sure I understand what the difference is between a planing hull and a displacement hull?

A planing hull is more like a hull entry into zero rocker, sharp-ish rails, often with some single or double concave right? What are the different characteristics of a displacement hull?

Im determined to nail the bastard of a board and learn how to probably ride this thing. I learnt on singles but it seems Im trying to ride it like a thruster, have to unlearn bad habits and relearn how to ride singles again. I reckon it might help my surfing as well as im sure it will lower my center of balance as well. Cant wait to test it again, Im frothing over this board huei, its great and I can see the attraction in it for sure

I know there was a Pike who made boards and was from the Sydney area in the sixties I think, he as mentioned a few times in McTavishs' book, the same Pike ??? anyway, I have a pic but its got several other boards in the pic and you cant see logo...might post anyway....any info and possible year of that shape woould be appreciated.... 8)
