Cord
Why buy old when you can have new?
My Cord 7'6" looks just like a McTavish plastic machine (updated & improved) that he shaped for himself a few years ago.
I had them lying side by side to compare.
This was shaped by Chops Lascelle and the resin tint and glassing was done at the Hayden factory.
Want to know more go to the Cord website click on history and enjoy the read.

To which I reply, "Opinions are like assholes. Everyone's got one".
These shapes were the harbringers of the shortboard revolution.
If they hadn't been made then we'd all still be riding 9'+ dungas.
Oh dear, many of us are still riding 9'+ dungas.
I guess its like comparing a Model T ford to a Subaru Impreza.
The Model T is absolutely crude but it got the job done at the time.
Why limit yourself to a Keyo Plastic Machine by Mc Tavish. They were dogs. Johnny Otton's Wallaces were better as were Kevin Platt's Hayden Kenny's and Cords were great but short lived. There was a guy at Keyo who shaped most of the boards at that time. Can't remember his name, something like mungo man, anyway he died young, unfortunately. Spencer shaped some shockers but his little red changed everything. From then on it was drop the length every week until we were surfing boards no longer than kneeboards....and Roger Jones had been doing that already for 5 years...if anyone was responsible for the drop in length it was him.
