Im in Queensy so beach breaks normally but the hydrofoil ones work best on unbroken lumps like you find at Freshwater. The boards still have straight line speed but they turn easily off the hip at the back. so instead of pulling the nose around with your arms and shoulders, these boards turn more like a surfboard does a snap off the lip or even like doing a tic-tac on a skatey. all from the back 1/2. If anyone lives near Manly you can borrow a board.

Very interesting man. I might have to check one of these out. I would imagine it would take a few waves to change the way i naturally ride a wave.

Im keen to hand out boards and I think a lot of riders want to take their riding up a notch or at least find boards that give them a wider range of manouvers and performance.
Sadly a lot of people also need it to have RipVanQuikBong logo on it before they'll even touch it.
But the boards are there for anyone who wants them.
Coops, email me at [email protected] and you can have a few boards to try anytime.

check out one of mike stewarts inventions, tom morey had heaps of ideas like fluidised hulls, holes drilled through surfboards to lubricate the ride with air etc.
