Make sure that you in the right position on the board, this will be hard if you are in the wrong spot for the drop originally,so figure out your positioning

rex stiff board dont matter. i love stiff boards yet can make steep drops. basically is positioning and practice. just go somewhere like basin and take off late on hollow closeouts. helps barrel riding alot to.

just position yourself further back on the board so that there's less wait on the nose, then pull the nose up slightly and use your legs to balance. practice on closeouts first if need be

Just keep in mind the correct name of this fine sport: bodyboarding.
So use your whole body, that's how it's done.

spread ur legs baby!!! helps u to gain control and slow down abit, fuurther aiding control so that u can scoop into that bad boy! if u watch hardy or mitch, they drag there legs into steep waves, once u start doing it ur botom turns are better, well for me that is HAHA!! but yea, positioning being the main factor... its all in the technique..

you may be able to take steep drops on a stiff board
but u will be able to do it way better with a pe board
much easier to scoop and get a better line on the wave
if u l;ook at all the pros except tamega and hubb
when they scoopp the board flexes heaps cause they use pe boards

its true tamega and hubb ride superstiff boards
they bith use there bodys to make the steep drops rather than the flex of the board
plus there boards are as stiff as bricks
and the more water resistant the core the stiffer it is
and bullshit no water gets in

and from watching Hubb at Pipe I have no doubt about his bottom turn whatsoever,he's the same if not better at this than many of the others.I haven't seen much of Tamega so can't comment
