SWELL OF THE YEAR (pics)

Post by Bodyboarder-sicne-1989 » Mon Jun 11, 2007 10:34 pm

if you couldnt find solid waves over the last four days, you must have been in a coma! best public holiday waves in a long long time!!!
i had to not bother posting the other 40 odd pics as i couldnt be bothered.
cropped/resized and some have bad lighting so quality isnt the best on some.

haha yeah, i took those after i got out. its always the way, my girl gave up shooting after about an hour and as the tide went up it got better. ive got about 6 other shots that my girl took of me that are similar but im in the barrel and you cant see me from the land angle. need a housing. next purchase hopefully one of those olympus water/shock proof 7 meg set ups.

Thanks for the shot's - looks like we crossed paths at the novelty spots down south.

KP was smaller Sunday but your shots presumed to be on Saturday had way more size......the Bay was heaps fun on Sunday, only 6-10 out and nice change in tide waves.

Also one of thongs, again smaller than the day before (great shot of yours)...and a couple of CP after it calmed a little from your shots.

Looks like you did lots of hunting around ? Hope you hooked in too.

the kp shots were from friday before the tide came up, it hit the odd 5 foot set on the high.

i didnt check the bay, hit airport wedge on saturday, only posted one pic, dont want to crowd it out. it was hitting 3-4 feet.

sunday we drove and checked every where to durrus and couldnt find anything that wasnt either crowded or out of control.

monday was on everywhere and ended up at the barrack. it was pupming with 6-8 foot sets and very solid.

nice shots by the way.

yeah that wave you got (40) sure does rip on every other wave in the collection....although you could get a wave like that anywhere....surfing that was kind of a waste of the swell.

was one of the many places i surfed over the swell, and the only place that wasnt full of frothing wave starved riders. im sure i got a hell of alot more barrels than you did "bro", seeing as i scored the place with my mate and no one else for over an hour. my girlfriend isnt the best on the lense and got over it after 20minutes and managed to get 8 barrel shots of me. and that was only one of the 5 days i surfed/shot in a row.

so how many waves did you get over the weekend?
where did you surf? probably patonga beach since it only breaks in swells like this one? or were you one of the many grovellers riding gutless 2 foot j bay reefs to escape the reality of the open ocean when it gets over 3feet?

p.s. i dont care if i didnt spell or type correctly.

p.p.s. your mum was the best ride i had throughout the whole swell.

p.s. your a dud.

p.s. dud dud dud

Apparently it was pretty packed on the sunday (which i presume is when the photo was taken??)
pretty hard to get the place uncrowded these days...especially on a long weekend

my one and only claim is that bangbro is a f*ckwit! i bet your one of those tools that comes down out the front of my place to check the island and calls 16 people to tell them that the islands working. KEG is an oldschool thing that you wouldnt understand since your only 12 years old.

how about you talk to my face? got the balls?
