for my standard shortbaords i have just changed to Al Merricks after riding JS's for about 3 years ... before settling on the Merricks i also tried Aloha, Chilli & Gunthers with mixed results ... i'm happy with the Merricks at the moment, but i can see myself going back to JS's in the near future ...
curious to know what you are all riding & what you think of them ...

I liked Simon Anderson's and Greg Webber's custom boards, when you could get them without having to wait ages for delivery. (My best board ever was a Webber. It's about 10 years old now but still goes great whenever I take it for spin.) My last was a Mark Rabbidge and I think the next will be as well, although Mike Psillakis also seems to making some great boards.
ive been riding mark platers boards for the last 14yrs. they are awsome and i reckon ive only had maybe 3 that were a bit ordinary out of 25+ boards. he is a seriously underrated shaper, but hes been around a good while, and guys like margo have riden his boards before being thrown dollars by big shapers. i rode a 3 of gunthers boards before that, and they were dogs. also riden tony cerfs, they ok, aloha(gc) it was good.
but just cant go past marks boards. he listens to what i want, and consistently comes up with the goods. in case you wondering, he shapes for maddog, and also does MR boards under licence

Have tried alot of shapers boards over the years Pottz, Darcy, Al Merick, Dalberg's, Sel, Tuflites, Sam Egan, China shite but am now riding Chaos boards which I have been stoked with. By far the most consistant sticks I have had.

Warners customs for the last 4 years, Brett makes excellent boards and takes the time to listen to guys like me! I know so many guys riding his boards which has to be a great reflection of his ability.
Got a Haydenshapes made late last year and it is a sensational board so will more than likely go with Hayden for my next. He's also a good guy with a great attitude, supports the local boardriders and looks after the groms too.
