Ok, i bought a board a few months ago to use for Kiting in the waves... i
just went and randomly bought something wide and shortish, but not a fish...
So i went to a surfshop and grabbed the best suited 2nd hand one they had, i was happy :-D
now ive decided i may as well learn to surf, so far i can get a simple
bottom turn and top turn happening... but im wondering what my board
actually is, and if i should be using something else for the waves im
riding... ive never seen any other boards like it at the beach...
This is whats written on the bottom:
'The Mullet' Shaped by SM
6'2" x 13 1/2" x 19" x 13 3/4" x 2 5/16" #395
The nose looks a little like this, (after ive stuck kiting crap on it), havnt got
any other picys of it. The tail seems to be round, or maybe square round...
not sure...

So what have i got? whats it good for? and how old is it?
i mostly hit narrowneck on the goldy... but only when its small atm
oh and i weigh 65kgs.
Thanks
Rhys
What is my board?

as i said, i didnt buy it to surf on, i got it to kite on, but yeah, putting aside the fact it should be bigger while i learn...

lol...
its actually right... if you get 30 knots for 2 days straight, or one of those big 40-50 knot storms come thru and the tided right, Suttons gets a messy, choppy 3 foot wind swell up... so its basically full of bodyboarders and desperate teenagers trying to get a fix while doin their best to hold their boards down in the wind lol...
its funny to see
Queens beach around the corner gets cleaner swell at times like this, not much better lol...
its like 2 days a year at best though... 2 best kiting days of the year 2 :-D
