DHD Black Diamond
Identical to the Rare Bird which I’m currently riding.

All of the well known brands have a similar model to that one. It’s all “more foam under the chest, wider point pushed forward bla bla bla”. There are differences between them so before splashing out $800 on the Chilli I’d look at the DHD models and definitely Lost and maybe Channel Islands. They’re really fun and forgiving boards to ride especially if you’re not in the water every day.
I’m sure there’s a number of surfboard outlets on the NB’s that would have several brands that you could check out. And I agree with Legion. It’s a funny looking tail but that doesn’t mean it won’t go well.
Yeah I’ll have a feel up of a few others. Just been happy with Chilli.

Love it, but just wanted to try something with a bit more length. My RB is 5’10”.

Psillakis does a model that's somewhat similar, and is good

Pretty much impossible to tell from the pic he has on the site, but worth a look.

Yep, pretty flat. Good for Sydney junk. Don’t think it’d be good for your tasty, barrelling beachies.

I've got a 5'10 x 19 3/4 x 2 1/2 (31.5L) DHD The Twin. I'm 80KG. You should definitely look at one before you pull the trigger on the Chilli.
Paddles great, not bad on the steeper drops despite the flatter rocker.
Goes well as a twin and a twin with trailer.
I'm not sure what the fin placement is like on the Black Vulture, but if you're looking for something to ride as a twinny then check out The Twin, it has the fin placement more geared towards riding it as a twin as the name would suggest. Reason for that comment is I've got a 5'9 Firewire Midas that really needs the trailer or it's just out of control loose. Even with the MR '78 fins in it. I ride it mostly with the MR'78 and an MRTFX trailer. Midas is advertised as a board you can ride as a twin, but i say it's BS unless you're Machado.

Thinking of pulling the trigger on one of these. Probably a 6.0. 33 odd litres. Any thoughts from the RS board mafia?

The blurb.

The Black Vulture has a fuller nose, added foam under the chest and a wider outline. The wide point is a little further forward too, giving it great foam under the chest and front foot when your surfing, also making it a wave catching machine (much similar foam distribution to the Rare Bird). We then gave it a bump swallow tail to pull the tail in and give it drive. Combined with a single concave to vee out through the tail. Resulting in a wave catching machine that turns on a dime.
Did you end up going with this?

If not, can recommend the Simon double ender, halfway down the page

Blew my mind how good this board is.

Looks like a fun board. Assuming that they’re made locally? Anyone know who does it?
