Maybe be a great time regardless of where you stay - aren't they going under with the other countries as a part of the GFC fallout? That's got to be good for tourists at least.

A mate of mine teaches Spanish and has gone over to Spain/Portugal many times. I don't know particulars but he tells me the point breaks are too numerous to mention in Porto -- likes it better than Spain.
