Quite possibly ... but it was an odd one, not your run of the mill issue.

Yeah that’s my hesitation re: channel twins. I’d be mostly surfing it in beach breaks

Not exactly the same but check out Gary Mcneil Torus twin, they go pretty sick
Hmm. Looks nice. But not so sure about keel fins for beach breaks. 🤔
Dont put keels in it, use uprights... swap them for keels on points if you want... or dont. Aipa uprights go good.

"THE RASTA TORUS TWIN WAS FIRST DESIGNED IN 2009 BY GARY MCNEILL AND PRO SURFER DAVE RASTOVICH. IT FEATURES A FULL LENGTH ‘TORUS’ CHANNEL SITTING INSIDE A SINGLE CONCAVE WHICH PROVIDES HOLD IN HOLLOW SECTIONS AND HELPS YOU GENERATE SPEED WHEN PUMPING WITH YOUR FRONT FOOT. BECAUSE OF THIS CHANNEL, THE RTT HAS MORE CONTROL THAN YOUR TRADITIONAL TWIN FIN AND DUE TO THE ABSENCE OF DRAG FROM THE CENTRE FIN CAN GENERATE SPEED QUICKER THAN YOUR THRUSTER.

FOR THIS MODEL I RECOMMEND MY UPRIGHT FINS FOR PEAKY BEACHBREAKS. IF YOU’RE SURFING LONGER SLOW POINTS OR YOU’RE A BIGGER SURFER OR CHANGING OVER FROM A THRUSTER I’D SUGGEST YOU GO TO THE KEEL FINS."
Got one to sell ?

Bit small for you??

Thanks but way too small brah. I’d need one on each foot.

Without being overly concerned with volume, 35 litres is about feasible minimum I’d go for

If thats not a twin fin, then neither are the the MR Super Twins ... the rear fin is an optional stabiliser.

I agree it's not a twin, my post a little while back was bait that noone bit.

Both look like fun options.

Rod Morgan makes a good twinny.
He's Rasta's surf buddy.

Yep, that looks nice.

Its amazing how many surfers don't understand even the basic design principles of surfboards ... this volume phenomenon is a classic example, where they bang on about how many litres they require, but are quite clueless on where the foam should actually be.

Volume is the result of the basic design principles ... its a displacement measurement, nothing more.

That's inane.

A rolled vs a flat deck, for example, is a direct result of a decision about volume. As is a beak nose.
