You reckon 2.7L will make much paddling difference? Flatter rocker though, I guess

Had a few surfs on the DHD twin.
Love it.
Plenty of foam up front for paddling, nice thin in the tail for turning.
Looking forward to getting it into a few bigger waves to see how it goes.

80kg. 5’10 x 19 3/4 x 2 1/2 31.5L MR PC twin + trailer.

There's a feature on twinnies in the latest edition of Tracks. Some interesting boards in there.

Is yours the orange and white one?
Looks exactly the same plan as this one.
This is 5'9 1/2, 20 1/8, 2 7/16 made in 2002.

Yes, that's it. My original was in 1980. Current is heaps of fun. Super fast right from go. Adds heaps of fun to shitty and good waves alike. Some might match him, but there's no better at turning out quality built surfboards

My twinny has been my go to board the last month or two.

I saw this on ebay today.
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mick-Pierce ... 663.l10137

Another Mick Pierce twinny like mine on the previous page with the massive timber fins but scaled up to 6'10, 20.5, 3.
Told my mate in Melb to jump on it.

I'll be very interested to see how it goes in pretty much midlength dimensions.
I reckon it would be heaps of fun on some of the vicco points for him.

Bargain. Back when I had my original, a larger mate had a scaled up version I rode a few times in bigger waves. Went unreal. Also, there is, or was, some photos on Mick’s insta of him surfing very solid Padang Padang on a twin

Anyone ridden a Freeflight Twin Vent? They look like a great beach break board. And the price is right at $499

Sideways have seriously got their shit together. I know the owner and he surfs Ok and has the business acumen to engage respected shapers to sell his Bali made boards using the shaper’s files. The quality control isn’t there like it would be if you bought a Phil Myers original but the plane shape is and providing the blank isn’t too dodgy you’ll get a board for less than half price. Having had one of Phil’s customs it lasted about a year from everyday use.
I’ve had Sideways copies that have performed well for a year but you spend $400-$500 rather than $1200.

I recently picked up a freeflight six channel single from sideways and so far I’m loving it. And the indonesian construction seems ok and pretty solid for a standard PU board.
