Only 4 ever made. Apparently $1200 new. Can't wait to take it out. It looks ferocious. And well suited to chomping up small beach breaks.

Serious score!
Being a Deus you know you now gotta grow a beard and wear short boardies and a tee in the surf, after riding down on a custom bike with a guitar over the other shoulder? Looks beautifully made; laps and tail deck patch? Ride report too please.

Looks more performance than not. Be interested to read a review on it. What a bargain.

Well. Probably a bit premature for real review on it, considering the chest to shoulder high dog food on offer today.

But this morning there was sort of a few peaks in the mix. Take off into a cutback, then an inside bowl on the reform that (if u were lucky) allowed for a top turn and then reentry at the finish.

Overall the board is LOOSE (skatey but still very controllable) and really quick and Squirty.

Cutbacks were fun . The tail has a real clawing meat hook feel to it. It rips in hard thru the tail on its turns. And I got couple of tight backhand turns in that were pretty vertical.

So.. So far, it's feeling like it will suit the purpose. And it certainly doesn't feel "fish like" that's for sure ..

Plan shape reminds me of a board Dave Rastovich rides in Mexico in the movie This Time Tomorrow, that footage is worth a look if you can track it down. Not a fish.

Any footage of rasta on a twin of any sort ( yes even a god forsaken fish :0 ) is worth watching.

Second go out on it today. Got a couple of left-handers sets that were slightly overhead on take off, and ran for about forty metres or so, tapering off to shoulder high.

Mushy but bowly runners. Late steep take off into a drawn out bottom turn, then a series of carving hooks in and just under the lip, each one cutting back further into the bowl.

It felt great! Really keeps a consistent flow of speed. I thought the shorter length at 6'0 might be an issue but it was totally fine.

Also got a couple of more burgery rights, that were mostly a steep late drop, bottom turn into a couple of quick carves up and down the face before it shut down.

The board likes to be surfed with a lower centre of gravity, keeping your weight lower over the board, particularly on bottom turns (notably forehand).

Can't wait to get it on a bowly walled up wave with some wackable lips to see if it's going to be able to punch thru it's top turns, as well as carve thru them.

Found out that Chris Garrett also shapes the exact same twinny under the name "rocket fish".

He nails it with his description of it surfing like a skateboard with loose trucks, but on train tracks.

That's exactly how it feels :-D-: :-D-:

Rasta rode phantom boards many years ago as well

Last night I dreamt I was ordering a Byrne TC fish from Nick Carrol in his surf shop. He was extremely tall, and disinterested. I was wearing a towel.
WTF should I do?
