I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Re: Mundine.
People don't hate mundine because his is aboriginal, they hate him because he is an egocentric, self serving, arrogant prick who plays the race card to generate publicity. Anthony Mundine does whats good for Anthony Mundine.
Also if all this work he does with aboriginal kids is behind the scenes, then how do we all know about it? It is a testament to his PR reps that you all think it is done "behind the scenes".

Re: Mundine.
and if we apply your descriptor of "aboriginal" then it follows all here are "australian".
Thus your post is a flawed assumption grounded on implicit social conditioning.

Re: Mundine.
To be honest I couldn't give a shit. I detest mundine as a person and an athlete because he is an arrogant, self serving, egocentric knob jockey (my apologies knobjockey) with zero loyalty. Not because he is aboriginal/indigenous australian/native australian/traditional ower of the land/whatever term is politically correct at the moment.puurri wrote:and if we apply your descriptor of "aboriginal" then it follows all here are "australian".

Anyway I'm off to google whiteness studies.

Re: Mundine.
So are you going to have a go at explaining that, or were you just throwing it out there to see what rubbish the gullible guilty whities will feed on?Rockin' Ron wrote:Well of course.puurri wrote:Most of you mired in respective ideological bits to protect your identities eh?
Reality:
1. upstairs talking about downstairs.
2. most do a non structured ideological spew without any notion of what is really out there:
3.FWIW the apologists/ knee jerk reactionaries just don't get it .
FWIW 88.5% of OZ don't get it.
Can you explain to me, and not cryptically, please, how anything in this thread about anthony mundine is "idealogical"? I must be thick...
Or we just too dumb!

^^^what anyone makes of it. My approach is one of "WASP's nest + stick".
FWIW we don't refer to people as "whiteys" ( ) as this is stereotypical, besides you as individuals are assessed on your respective humanity and willingness to contribute to a rational debate on such.
Capiche?

^^ Agreed... Like many have said, his self-marketing hype wouldn't be considered too controversial if he was in the statessean-- wrote:I dont mind him. Great athlete and works hard at what he does.

FWIW, I used to play a little basketball with him and Solo Haumono back in the day. He really could have made it to the NBA as well I reckon. Aussie team no problems. He's a freak athlete no matter how you look at it.
He does a lot more for 'the community' than you hear about. Trust me on this.
