back on, last round of round1 is in the water now.

And how bloody good are the heat replays, they have commentary
 looks like that are doing a wrap up at the end of the heat and using that commentary whens it's still fresh in the commentators mind

Ah, I hadn't heard that, did it end up being The Lofoten in Norway? I was suspecting somewhere cold to provide the opportunity for everyone to put on their H-Bombs

When was the last time an event was cancelled due to a lack of swell? Last time I can recall is France in the mid 90's but they had reached the quarters or semi's if I recall correctly. Do they have a backup plan or does everyone who hasn't been knocked out share the points?

Quik Pro at Biarritz 1995 and they'd reached the quarters I think(?) that or the round of 16.

If the event is cancelled, remaining surfers share money and points equally.

they extended one a few years ago, might of actually been tahiti

No idea what the surf prospects are - someone in the know care to fill us in

Heats to go are 1/2 of round 2, round 3, the 1/4's., the semis and the final to go ~= 24 heats to go, in three days

Getting a bit squishy me thinks, with tides, winds, ...

Yes it was, 2007, a one day extension, got 'em 4-6' surf

Yes. On Tuesday there's gonna be a pulse of groundswell from the SE, a terrible, almost non-existent angle for Chopes. (Good for Kelly's "secret" right btw) Light offshore winds. (Not good for the "secret" right.)

Same pulse holding Weds. Then it's game over. No better swell in the immediate offing.

Best move Louie could make IMO? Go tonight to Moorea and run the event at Haapiti, an excellent left exposed to the SE. But jeez he'd piss a lot of people off.

He could always hire Longinus as his event forecaster.

Maybe he could conjure up a tow swell before Wednesdsay.
