Wow. Bummer. I never did get around to getting one. Guess I never will.

Hemp plastic. Way of the future. That'll bring him back.

Bummer. I always keep an eye out second hand but never seem to come across one that suits me.

Still up on my racks. Never got around to posting them on gumtree. Probably a subconscious thing really, kept finding other things to do rather than sell them

It's funny, epoxy is supposed to be the less toxic alternative but go into any glassing house and they all hate them because epoxy sensitivity seems to be the norm, rather than the exception.

I guess thats why they outsource the labour to Asia.

Can he not still shape and leave the glassing/sanding to someone else?

Don't think anyone would blame josh for joining with an Asian manufacturer. But I just don't think he'd go that way.

Buy himself, or are you referring to FireWire? I know about FireWire but didn't think he'd tried to do it buy himself

Yes a sad day when a maestro like Josh has to pull up stumps due to health. Because of this thread I ordered 2 boards and couldn't be more chuffed with them. I wished I had more.

I've been watching a lot of doco's on plastic and sustainability lately. I started to think that all my new boards would be Firewire' because of the approach the company has in terms of it's sustainability. And I'm not sure how Firewire boards are made (yet), but I don't think that shifting the toxicity from a shaper to a production line is the answer.

I don't like the idea that anyone would have to go through any kind of pain and suffering for a surfboard. Aussie or Asian.

I do look forward to the day when a viable eco alternative is available to our usual construction.
