I hear ya tonks. My rehab board is a great board but ffs it's getting a few spider cracks here and there. To get a decent lasting board in poly it needs to be heavy. Ok if you live on a point break but for average beachies they lose a lot of responsiveness. Josh' boards are hardy, but super light. Best of both worlds IMHO.

Matticus, mine will be a pulled in/speed egg 7'er. Juuuust wide enough for average beachies but narrow enough for decent beachies. If I can ever build my form and fitness up again haha. I'm going quad but I'm kind of thinking quad + single. Just not sure how often I'll use it as a single.

Looks like a wakeboard, and i mean that in a good way.
Try some lower profile fins in it. I've got something a bit similar 5'6x20.5" and it is amazing how much you can jam the turns.
The peacock slowly shakes himself out in an act that could be mistaken as effortless were it not for the thought of his withholding a quivering.

Strong enough to be used as a wakeboard or kiteboard I reckon with a layer of innegra on the deck skin. May even do it too! I'm a big boy 90kg and 184cm I need large fins or I don't get the drive I want and get too much drift when I push hard. For small waves I can go down to mediums like K2s but once it is over 3' unless the rails are really sharp my board won't hold its line.

Yes probably. I sneak out there in the mornings from time to time. I did this morning anyway!

I found in the meantime that I like it better as a thruster.

Does anyone know if Josh has gone down the bonzer path?
I've seen pics of his channel bottoms so I should imagine shaping some crazy bonzer contours would not be out of the question.
