Farkin hell Josh.

I come back to this thread intermittently to drool over your latest creations. As soon as I win the lottery, boy have I got a few jobs for you.

If I see your boards up or down the coast I'm gonna tell people I'm old friends with you, just to see if the kudos rubs off.

Beautiful stuff.

I have one complaint and one complaint only about my JD. It doesnt get good enough to ride it where I live that often...but this board will be my motivation to get it to Indo next year....such a good board that I keep it in my bedroom away from my other boards....any bastard who breaks in will have to get past me to get it if I am around.

Hey L&B, sounds painful. I was thinking of getting it done, please let me know if it's worth it mate.(the ear, not one of Josh's boards). Josh, when planning a new logo, go for the simplest one possible and the one with the least initial impact, these are the ones that will creep up and stick in your head. I teach Design and Tech and that is by far the strongest criteria for Logos, simplicity. What I mean is, try to put all your proposed designs together, say on the kitchen table, and leave them there for AT LEAST a week. Walk past them, look at them, study them, talk around them, change their colours, length, width and height, but most of all, keep them simple. ALL the classic ones are. Eventually the one you will use will jump out of the pack and seem like an obvious choice. Good luck with it mate, and if you want to swap some more ideas feel free.
Your opinion is worth as much as it costs.

Chillin, it wasn't a mater of choice. Blu-tac works a treat for keeping the water out, but you can't hear bugger all.

Hey Chillin, yes good advice. It's been done as you suggest, in fact there's far more history behind the development than the six options suggested.

The statement is visual rather than intellectual, so to speak...

I've laminated a couple of new-uns with decal #6...seeing as Quangers expressed approval, he's got it on his. They're digital prints rather than screened, so there's a chance for refinement.

So I might run either or both in a transition period.

Blu-tack. Funny story- I have a partial hearing loss. I dropped in on a local tuffy who asked "Are you F'n deaf or something" - I could only answer with a smirk - "Yes as a matter of fact I am..."

I nearly got my head punched in, but a mutual aquaintance quietly informed him of my truth...

llo' - make sure they put your ears back on!
