It's on 2-3 and it's busy, it's got the old style vid feed:

and they give youse a link to it
replays are good, multi angle cams, ... it alls seems pretty good compared to the other efforts this year

If it's well engineered it's beautiful .
Unfortunately i missed the last 8 minutes of kelly's heat and all of micks, but i'm going to say its up between Kelly, Bobby, Campbo, and Manoa
I think manoa might crush a bit under the pressure of the later rounds (if he makes it past 3) although he didnt seem to phased about kelly in round one.
Kelly seems to be adopting his usual heat character in these comparatively fickle conditions, and he's just taking off on everything, and seeing if he can make a go of it, once he's on, which he usually does.
Bobby's record is pretty amazing, winning it in his first attempt, and he seemed super casual in round one, just dropping in and loosening up. Not being on your backside cant really hurt either.
Adriano got lucky

Anyone see Jordy Smith in the first heat of Round 1? Didn't find many barrels but went for two backside airs on the end section. Great stuff.
I thought Andy's come from behind win was interesting. He only needed a 3.5 or something in the last minute but I wondered if Timmy Rayes could have held him off with priority. You know, the old paddle on the inside and pretend to go for the wave to hold Andy off it trick. Instead Timmy just sat there, let Andy take a medium one, two snaps, fell off and still got the score!
Manoa looked good. Didn't see any crumbling under pressure. Perfect positioning for the sets. In Kelly's interview afterward the heat with Manoa Kelly complained that Manoa had held him off catching the waves he needed. Insteresting.

saw jordy's air's and bllrrr ya can do airs anywhere
it's a weird wave isn't it the waves were 2-3ft when I first checked it and then 2 heats later slater gets that big 9 and the commentators are calling it 6ft which it probably was seems to change all the time :?
And sad to see fanning out, but you do drop two scores in the end anyways :?
