Well that was a more gutsy effort over the weekend - unrecognisable against the St George performance but that was costly. Next round is going to sort the men from the boys. Will Manly step up and be contenders or confirm themselves as pretenders

If manly dont go to 1st spot next week they need a kick in the balls...

Melb should loose next week with all their origin players out, and manly really want to beat the roosters missing their origin players...

Manly are doing OK but ...premiers?

You just gotta hope they can keep Melbourne honest. Which would be an improvement on last year.

Last year’s final would be a pretty low bar.

Manly moos flash

First the Herald revealed Manly players were injecting a substance which contains calves' blood extract, now comes the proof that they don't care what they put into their bodies. After last Saturday night's win over Newcastle in Gosford, the entire Sea Eagles team was seen dining at Hungry Jack's. Perhaps the Eagles just can't get enough beef.

xxx..smh

Not a chance!
BTW. What's with Manly running two trainers on the field at once, last night. Saw it a few times in the long shots. FFS haven't you got rid of the bloody turd Toovey yet?

How times have changed since this thread started.
The sea eagles are so hot right now.
The Sharks , true to form, are about to go down the toilet.

Yes, all we need now is for Folau, Slater, Inglis and Smith to break legs and it will be a Manly V Bunnies final, eh Pridmore?

Played well last night.........BUT! Can they keep it up without Orford/Lyon for a few weeks. Will be interesting as so many people seem to like to put Sh*t on these two. Personally I don't care one way or the other about them but I do enjoy watching Beaver and Anthony Watmough play.

TrevG, the money went on Manly last night AFTER Orford was declared injured.

The people who put their money on the line would rather see Manly without Orford before backing them. I agree with that assessment.

Melbourne still set the benchmark. The dragons are in for a bit of a creaming if you ask me.

Melbourne will be the team to beat but Manly are better this year than last year and could well be in the final. The Dragons will be a side to look out for as well. They slackened off against Canberra last week after a 7 match winning streak.

Is Orford that bad? As I don't follow the Eagles, I only tend to get half the story.
BTW I note one of your favourite spots is Norah head. I surfed there once in 1967 on a trip down from Qld and copped two feet full of sea urchin spines. Spent several (painful) hours in Gosford Hospital having them removed. Not good. Never did get back there but know a guy who lives there and is connected with the sea rescue crew who operate out of there (or nearby).

After today you have to wonder if they'll make it through their first game in the semi's.
