Wondering if there are surfable waves someplace you've never visited? Or have you had an injury and want to compare experiences? Do it here!

Wollongong area

Post by Dingus » Sun Apr 16, 2006 3:32 pm

I'm thinking on a trip to the 'gong tomorrow to check it out and maybe find a nice little clean semi-protected spot to enjoy a bash on the longboard.

Since I don't have a street directory for the area I'm using whereis.com and google earth to try and nut out a few spots. Anyone like to give me a bit of info on where I could head to have a surf and save on petrol and time so I'm not driving all over the place seeing what is best for this swell.

I notice there's a few little points that stick out to the north-east almost, hopefully there could be a nice little wave on the north side of one of these. There is a big strip for Fairy Meadow too, would there be a good spot anywhere there?

Should I just stay in Cronulla?

Cheers for any help.
