Vanuatu/New Caledonia/Noumea

Post by buzzy » Mon Feb 23, 2004 4:35 pm

I'm likely heading off on a honeymoon in March next year. My soon to be missus has given very clear directives that the honeymoon is to be at the beach or an island resort type arrangement. However, it is not to be a "surf camp". She has also expressed a clear preference for New Caledonia/Noumea/Vanuatu which is ok by me because I like French stuff.

Now, while my soon to be wife has no time for the idea that her honeymoon will become my surf vacation, she is sympathetic to the idea of me sneaking off for a few surfs during the week. Which leads me to the question; is there any surf in these places? I'm sure therre must be, they're pacific islands. But is teh surf accessible or only on outlying reefs? Anu tips and advice appreciated.

Josh, you are a champ. Thanks mate.

I may well e-mail, but not for months. I've whacked the address in favourites and when time comes to book I may contact you more. Champion. :D
