Hi Mariners,
I'm going to be in Medewi over xmas. Rolled the dice on a delayed wet season due to positive IOD. Looking for options if the westerlies are up. Looking at Google maps there appear to be a couple of rights on the north eastern side of Java across the Bali straights. https://maps.app.goo.gl/CYvG6x3HxyZovjuU6
Thoughts?
Can I rent a boat to cross Bali Straights?

I don't know

From g land Wikipedia.
“Another right hand wave is situated about 20 miles east of G-land, which has been featured in Indonesian surf magazines, and dubbed as "Reverse G." It is apparently a quality, long, right hand wave (the 'reverse' of G-Land) but which is very difficult to get to, requiring some boat access, and furthermore only works in off-season winds (about late November to April).”

Thanks for the tip Buddy,
Found this:
"The waves at G Land won’t be any good, but Reverse G (about five hours away on the other side of the peninsula) could be all time. Good luck finding a boat to take you there. You may find one by ringing the G Land surf camp offices in Bali. Don’t forget your credit cards. Getting there isn’t cheap."

That spot on the northeastern side of Java looks promising on Google Maps. I've heard some good things about that area, with a couple of solid rights to catch. Plus, it's always exciting to explore new breaks, especially when conditions are unpredictable
