Recommendations for Bali with a mixture of experienced surfers

Hi guys.
Looking to take my son and daughter to Bali around sept but can't decide where to base ourselves.

My daughter, 14, has never been to Bali. She's got the basics sorted on a short board but doesn't want anything sketchy. I just want to get her out in some fun quality waves that aren't overly crowded (yes I know Bali is crowded but you know what I mean).
My son is 16 and is pretty good. Has surfed Ulus, Lakey and other spots before. He'll want decent waves.

Was thinking somewhere like Balian. I haven't been up that way (only around the southern spots) but sounds like it can offer good conditions that will satisfy both kids?

Any tips would be great. Amy other spots that I've overlooked?

Balian is a good choice wave wise butthe water is sketchy and there’s a lot of plastic on the beach. Medewi is similar but rockier. Out on the Bukit is much cleaner. Reefs are sharper too.

I wouldn’t go near the place during wet season again. The wave actually breaks right in front of a river mouth, the water is like mud and cold, and there’s been bull shark incidents. Not a bad wave though and nice little village.

^^ exactly. Just go to Canggu. I reckon the left at echo is fun and the peak can get good too. Otherwise there’s the longboard place? Batu Balong I think and that’s very user friendly. You can get fast boats straight to gland and deserts etc from there. There’s stuff for the kids to look at and eat. Riding a scooter is relatively safe around there too. There’s a lot of wankers there but some good people too. And you can be on the Bukit in an hour.

Balangan is an option on the Bukit. Zippy left on low to mid but at high tide a lot of learners ride the white water into the beach when it’s little.

True that and the water is a lot nicer up there too. Dreamland OK for beginners too not that I’ve surfed it.

Telos is meant to be great for intermediate to good surfers.

Canggu is a ok. There a few other options I’m sure you guys all know like the Tanah Lot Temple and the breaks north of there can be good while not necessary hollow. Although the temple is very shallow in spots.
