Got one walking on the rocks. I've read various methods apart from my usual just hacking the fcuker out. Vinegar or piss vs Vaseline seem the two common remedies. Hot foot bath also popular.

It will start to fester after a day or so, they are easier to dig out then. Often the particle will be minute and barely visible.

I tried a combination of everything and it's pretty well all out.

It has to be every last bit,otherwise an abscess will form. But you'll know, as it will continue to ache and hurt with pressure, even if the skin heals over. I've had about 40-50 over the last few years.

You should go to emergency immediately.

Last time I had one in my foot was the first time I surfed Lennox.
That was a big fcuker.
This was pretty little by comparison.
Think I've got it all out.

Did you have any trouble seeing the spines?

Heaps. Have to do a yoga pose to see them at all. Apparently still bits coming out. So I've got a Bung eye and a Bung foot.

Alcohol is good for preventing infection

I have some surgical sprit at hand.
Went to the doc and got the rest out....plus a tetanus shot.

Do you have your surgical spirit neat, on the rocks, with a dash of soda,or with a favorite mixer?
