I fly out of Brisbane once or twice a year...previously have driven to the Gold Coast, left my car at a friends place, then caught the train to the airport. My friend has moved...last trip I caught the XPT from the mid north coast, but never again

Anyone got any suggestions on the best, cheapest and safest way to get to the airport and park my car for whats usually 7-14 days. Thinking of driving to a train station somewhere between Varsity Lakes and the airport and paying for parking whilst away...is this safe, cheap enough...are there any stations that actually have secured long term parking? I realise the airport have it but I assumed it will be expensive.

nah I have never found flights to be cheaper from sydney to where I go...sometimes similar or on par...and cheap flights from coffs are a bit of a myth...I can never seem to get them...plus it adds hours and distance to the journey

but the not bumping into any Queenslanders is a very good point.

Fair point too Trev...but what you need to ask yourself is...is it more likely I cant spell...or that Fonggs cant spell his own name?
