Currently deciding on Sanur or Nusa Dua for the first couple of nights. I really like Sanur but it might be more chance of a wave at Nusa Dua as long as I don't get flogged. Someone wants to surf Ulu if they can so Nusa Dua could be better if a wind change pops up. Sanur has got easier access to a few other spots.
Re: Lombok Cape Ann is a very pretty bay so I'm surprised its not already developed. There was just the abandoned resort there when we went and the military base. I always assumed there was some secret military stuff going on.
I liked the west coast but found the south a bit funny back then.
I'm also tossing up hanging on Lombongan for a couple of days but I guess the wind will be wrong. There's also some discussion about Gili Trawangan from the non surfing contingent. Might lug the boards and see if we get lucky.
