If it was later in the season, and we had more time and older kids I would've gone somewhere else, or hit up a few.

Looks like my blessed run with conditions might be coming to an end. Got a couple more weeks to decide without losing any deposit but considering shifting to somewhere higher like Saas Fee

Edit: sweet baby Jesus, prices have tripled in the past week!
Might have to sacrifice an old snowboard and hope for the best.

Not totally.
Still better than most Aussie seasons, and there is a glacier to retreat to.
I've never tracked euro snowfall before so maybe it isn't that bad but the forecasts are pretty light on and it is still warm.

Fingers crossed, there may be some relief way out at the end of the forecast.

The other place I nearly went was over in the dolomites. Looking fairly ropy over that way.

Not been a great early season by the looks of it. Val Tho's only got 135cm/60cm, although it looks like the temps are dropping at last so at least they can start to make some snow. As with so many things in life though, one good dump can make everything so much better

If it wasn't a family trip, and it hadn't been arranged in order to catch up with a mate in Switzerland, I would've pulled the pin and gone to the Piedmont.

Should've gone the other side of the pond. Absolutely puking in Canada.

Heading up tomorrow, and the snowpack is down 65% on average.
There's a bit of snow coming in a couple of days but not enough to build a base.
Edit: latest model runs look tasty.

The off piste is still going to be pretty much useless, even with a rental board I don't fancy hitting rocks at pace.

Going to try some cross country skiing, maybe even some alpine if it is crowded once it gets tracked out. Or just ride switch for the week. Not hitting any booters though. A man's got to know his limitations.

You aren’t the room Yuke You are just a wonky cafe table with a missing rubber pad on the end of one leg.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.
