Boards for pregnant ladies

Post by bellybabe » Tue Oct 08, 2013 11:23 pm

Hi, newbie here. :-D-:

I am currently 4 months pregnant and still enjoying my relatively flat tummy on my body board.

Im looking for an inflatable board as my old one has had it, plus with my growing tummy Im going to want something a bit softer.

I've seen many on the googlator but Im apprehensive to buy anything without knowing its quality and comfort.

Has anyone boarded whilst pregnant or do you know of someone who has and what board they used?

I've been a weekend body boarder for 2 years and yes my obstetrician is happy for me to continue as long as I am comfortable and safe.[/size]
Thank you.

My wife did for the first 5 months or so, just on a regular bodyboard but one with a crescent tail so there is a cutaway for the belly.
She went on an inflatable mat towards the end (7mths?) but wasn't comfortable even with it deflated to the point it wasn't doing much.
That was a 70s surfoplane, so probably not much help.

If you ask Ultimats at the link below, I reckon he'd make you a custom one?

Oh, should point out that the risk isn't from you squashing the baby, it is from someone else crashing into your belly. So stay away from surf schools and crowds...

lol, of course. I stay away from them at the best of times. I took out a kid once who was actually standing on the shore (the wave planted me on the sand). I was so embarrassed and apologetic, but the parents and child thought it was hilarious.
Thanks for the link, love the retro colours. I'll check them out too.

The mauve lettering adds a nice touch ...

Don't let Coops in here ... baby jokes and all ...

Sorry gents (or ladies)
I am a female 31 from Brisbane. Not a troll. Far too nice to be one of those! :-D-:
And as for the purple font, I couldn't find the pink! (my fav colour) lol The font colour chart isn't showing.

If you have some advice on surf mats/inflatables I'd appreciate it.
Ta!

Dear-o-dear ... I said the mauve lettering was nice and not to let young Cooper out of his cage less'in he starts with "those" baby jokes again.

I'm deferring my judgement on the whole troll rigmarole.

Top marks for the dress ... casual yet classy ... you could have put more effort into that sign though.

Who took the photo ... :?:

Can you help me please? I find this harrassment unsettling.
What is the name of the mods who run this site and how do I contact them?
So glad I didnt make a donation to this forum which is seemingly full of assholes.

Womble are you suggesting I look like a man? And what or who is cooper? I took the photo on reverse on my galaxy 3.

What is wrong with you people?

Thank you Wingnut.
Of course if these dickheads had half a brain they could ask the mod to check my ip address to the trolls they thought I was.

Think I'll leave if it is socially acceptable to harrass and insult people in this forum.
Big brave tough men behind a screen arent you?
Pathetic.

I've sent the mod a pm on your behalf. Hope this helps end the harrassment.
