Surfing Atlas Beta Live - Global Surf Database

Post by LONGINUS » Fri Jun 27, 2008 10:20 pm

Hey All,

http://surfingatlas.sandbox.neubreed.com/public.php/

In August we will be launching Surfing Atlas which will be a truly global surfing atlas. Initially we will be launching with around 3000 spots from around the world, with the aim being to secure over 7000 within 12 months.

Really not looking for free advertising here, we already have a lengthy advertising campaign pre paid for launch on Realsurf in August, moreover, keen to her some feedback form realsurf members as to how useful they find the concept of this service as presented in the above beta site.

Perhaps the biggest problem some people will have with the site is the disclosure of 'secret spots'. All I would say on this point is that nothing you will find on the Atlas does not already exist in a current surfing publication available either online or via your local bookseller, we are really seeking to just provide all of the data under the same web site.

I hope that this site proves to be of interest to up and coming photographers who will have an excellent opportunity to upload their images and galleries in a high rez front end dispaly.

Whilst we have been careful to limit the amount of advertising on the site, the degree of exposure that any advertising will receive on the site however should ensure that any funds expended in a campaign will be well spent. Options start from $1 per day for SME's involved in the Surfing Industrry.

Please feel free to field all questions, queries and concerns regarding the site to this post and I will address all as a matter of priority.

Regards
