favorite food after a long surf...
hi guys,
after a long hard surf where you had to come in as your hunger was unberable what do you like to eat?
well for me you can go wrong with a massive kebab and a big bowl of cereal. mmmmmm. it may sound wierd but bloody hell it hits the spot.
What are some other favorites???

Romans on the money, leftovers are great. That or the burgers they do in the little cafe thing outside the surfclub at North Cronulla.Roman wrote:Massive bowl of Cereal for sure...or

anything and everything....post surf i usually start of with a selection of mixed confectionary (hand picked of course) usually about $3-4 worth of red frogs, pineapples, ect...i find this is good as your mouth is usually all salty from the water
then after that you are craving a somthing to fill you up and with a bit of salt so either some hot chips or a bacon and egg roll (with cheese)
then to finish on a sweet note either a chocolate or ice cream of somesort

Morty -its a time of life thing too I think. Like when you were a grom and only walked to places you went to the nearest place that could fuel you up for the next sesh.
At Nth Steyne/Manly that was a shop (where Dripping Wet Surf is now) run by Jack and Gordon Knights (Manly, Central Coast and now Gold Coast shapers) parents, and they served these things called Fruito Boards - about 12" long by 5" wide and 1" thick in the shape of an oval (or board- ish) and were toasted with jam.
They filled the bill perfectly and they must have sold 100s a day.
But when we got cars we had more options and the Bakery was a well visited shop with all those great smells of fresh baked yummies
