Yeah.....

"Maala'ea is considered to be the fastest right in the world. One of the best wave on the planet, but don't plan your trip around it because it rarely breaks. Watch for big New Zealand swells"

"Just so you all know, Sept 15 2005 was as good as Maalaea has ever gotten in recorded history, won't happen again for another 20 years. If you're on this site thinking about coming to Maui to surf this place good think again, it's the rarest wave in Hawaii by far and when its on the locals are absolutely ruthless. Not to mention you have to REALLY know how to surf to even make the drop and pull in and have any chance of coming out. All in all, don't even bother....Aloha"

I like how they set the scene by basically saying don't bother coming, then finish off by saying "Aloha"

There styles are really seedy. I mean they can get pitted- like its not hard to stand there and race it like they are.

Would be sick to see Curren or Rasta, or even Kelly out there.

dont get me wrong still an epic wave, but for how often it breaks and the crowds, you may aswell just wait and head to merimbula.
