Dang! mate really sorry to hear about your eye. Fingers crossed it works out ok for you.
I copped a tip in the side of the head 2 years ago and got 5 stitches for my trouble. Had it been my eye I would be in the same boat.

Hey Fellas,
I wanna thank all the crew who pm'd me and posted their support. Particularly rockin' ron and hunter.
It helped me through this ... Totally stoked.
Had operation to correct muscles behind eye, and fractures in eye socket.
Vision has just come back really well, as swelling finally relieved pressure on nerves. Operation was success and surgeon reckons all is go for full recovery. Except me eye looks a bit scarred up and droopy, but i reckon it adds character. haha
So bloody relieved, so f#¤%¤&6 arsy too. Sometimes Huey smiles on ya, and modern science rocks!
But bloody paradox emerges: I now get to see surf goin' off down here today. haha.
Dropping everything and going to Indo. The fright has reminded me of priorities again. As of July I will be back where I belong - in the pit.
Kiss the girl, pat the dog, then bang! out of the blocks into real waves.
F#¤%&in hope you all get sick pits during this swell.
Cheers Again

Sorry mate, I missed this thread first time round, happy to hear it's all on the mend and much better news than it could've been.
That feeling in the first few seconds after it happened will always stick in your mind and give you the heeby-jeebies.
Best of luck on the recovery mate.

You beauty, Clif! Wouldn't be on to have the Dziga Vertov of the Superbank lose an eye now, would it?

Yee-oooh! Missed this first time round too. I think it was nicer reading the story with the happy ending though... Maybe my prayers were retro-active?
More bad news I'm afraid... You are now no longer in the running for the Head of Oneill Asia Pacific role.
