Used to surf Leighton / Cables in the 70's, bet it's changed so much now days?sandtrax wrote:Thanks for the tip. Surf mostly on breaks in a 2km strip going south from Cottesloe - 2nds, Isolators, Dutch Inne, Sandtracks, etc. Took a while to get used to surfing limestone reef after Sydney beach breaks....Shaunm wrote:
Buy local I reckon, it's at the bottom of the page from memory. I ordered one and got one in 2 days.
Ps where in Perth do you surf?
Then again - Freo Port and the Dingo flour mill are still the major landmarks. Leightons usually only works in winter and gets a reasonable crowd. Surf wise - the main difference is probably the artificial reef at Cables (same comment as for Leightons). Also north of Leightons is designated dog beach. You have to run the gauntlet of countless canines just to get to the waterShaunm wrote:

Head bands rule at the moment. Very fashionable.
More guys than girls are wearing them. Look around.
They look good on the lifeguards though.
You obviously missed our Christmas Drinks
Yes, I am female
Saw some new alternates on the market today. My friend and her children have used them recently and they slip straight off. She said she'd pay the extra to have the one that actually stays on!
I wear mine as I can't wear plugs.
Different strokes for different folks as they say

Funny thought I like the fact my ears are now protected from the sun & I don't have to use sunscreen on the ears. :?

Occy's younger brother Just checked out that pic - wow
The surfmuff looks really normal hey, you can hardly see it. The guy in that picture makes it look like a normal part of the wetsuit.
Love the mobil phone holder, hey - better not let the bodyboarders see them, oops!
