Saw this amazing looking dark haired girl wearing one on the weekend, went to another beach the next day and this middle-aged woman was wearing one. What are the guys ones called?

No way Saw this guy 2 weeks ago with a Leo Sayer type hair-cut, riding (attempting anyway) a mal, dropping in on a couple of guys who would give you a serve for doing so, and to top it off he was wearing pink speedos with budgy smuglers on the back, and he must have been cold.
He looked a bit like this without the mullet gone wrong

That promo shot makes them look like the x-men or something, chuck chunder in the 23 century
If it works it has to look better than a hood.
As far as surfers ear goes do people who have it find that it tends to pop up in the ear on the same side as your back foot?
I know mine was heaps worse in that one and I figured it was from the constant pounding it got in wipe outs

They've been around for a while but are new to Aus, there was/is another product more for kiddies. Basically it's a headband that holds in ear plugs, but it doesn't work. This girl's one I tried seemed to work quite well. It felt a bit like wearing a stubbie holder on the head, but cut that wind whistle right out. You can get a bit of water in when duck-diving but you can flick it out quite easily. My ears are stuffed from years of drumming and seeing live bands, so I decided to order one as they look better than hoods and feel better than plugs or bluetack.
Took a pic of the muff I tried last week
I like the rashie
Wasn't me

Since about 2001. The other headband thingies apparantly fall off when you go in the water or jump in a pool. These have a strap to allow you to get pounded a little and mine stayed on through some major poundings today.el gringo rattis wrote:how long have these things been around for....
cos about a year ago i thought up the idea of head bands to protect ya ears.... no joke.
im hoping they have been around for yonks and that i havnt passed on the opportunity to live the high life, bathing in barrels of money haha
Saw something called Earbandits at an aquatic centre I was working at this arvo, I think they're the ones that slip off when you dive in the pool. No good for surfing then I assume. The girl wasn't interested in selling them, said they had to display them for another month, then was sending them all back???
