I got my first Lid when i was in year 6 for my 12th birthday in Dec '91. So it will be 15 years in December!

got my first lid when i was 6 ... altho actually taking up bodyboarding then merging into both sports has been about 3 years of weekend and holiday fun ... damn busses take 45 mins to get to beach on weekdays

come to think of it it was only 2 years ago maybe ... not to sure tho...

started on a lid when I was about 6... upgraded to a foam surfboard at 10.. then my first shorty when I was 12.. Been on a shortboard ever since. So I guess I have been surfing for about 16 years..... I'm 28 now.

Started catching waves on my Dads and uncles shortboards (not exactly short by todays standards) when I was 6 or 7. Still on a shortboard 28 years later

not counting lidding or body surfing.

been surfing 11 years. 3 years of which every day and the rest when work, weekends and holidays allow.

thats approx 4686.00 hours of surfing.

30+ years ago, still improving in my book (plenty of room). I think my current shortboard is probably the same length as my very first

Not counting lid time (zzzzz...) 11 years, 10 year break then another 3 years making a total of roughly 14 years.

I still can't get barrelled either - take off too deep and keep getting nailed by the foam ball.

when i was like 9-10 i used to stuff around on dad's mal. got my first "real" bodyboard round 11 been doing it since then, now 19.
