My Vid!

Post by Beets » Tue Dec 06, 2005 9:58 pm

Ok, seeing as everyone else is doing it...
I made this as a preview for the larger vid i'm doing, just do get some footage out there and show my mates what's goin on, so as such there is not a great deal of footage, and its only 1 min long.
But still, watch it and give me some feedback if you will...
http://media.putfile.com/Basis

Its 20 meg, so it may take a while to download...
Also, as macca has said before, if you wanna save it to your comp open the page, go view>source. Then hit CTRL F and search for wmv.
Paste the whole link thats attached to this into a new browser and now you can save as.

P.S. Let me know if the video is jerky - i think its pretty computer intensive (what file type do you guys render as?)

Thanks for the complements already guys.

The vids take whatever amount of time you want to spend on them but something like that i guess i spent a couple of hours on, and an hour or two getting feedback and fixing up things.

And yeah alot of the time I do wanna go surfing but most of the time i can do a bit of both - surf for a bit, then film, or just filming from the water gets the adrenaline pumping just as much as riding sometimes :P .

Ballsy move.

I'm stoked that you all like it...
For all those who are asking, i'm actually only using amateur stuff...
For filming i'm using my Canon S1 Is Digicam, which has 640X480 movie mode at 30 FPS, which is pretty reasonable quality, but nowhere near DVD or anything...
I also have the canon water housing for it, so thats how I get my water footage.
And finally for editing i'm using Sony Vegas 4 - definately worth learning how to use if you want to get serious with your vids.

I'm really hoping to upgrade to a proper 3CCD video camera sometime soon, and a housing... but the cost is a real issue.
If anyone has any such gear for sale, or knows where to get it, let me know.
Oh and poorboy, I'd be glad to take any sponsers if it means I get a professional camera.... :D
