I feel have have to stick up for Longy. Protected from the nor easters and there is not too many beaches in Sydney where can you look to the north and feel like you are not living in a city of 4 million people. No concrete, just a great headland. You can always wander down to the pole and find a bit of space, well maybe not on Sunday mornings but mid week it is great. You can always get a carpark as well without hassel and the hot dogs aren't too shabby at the kiosk. A bit of an allrounder really.
Cheers

leats ur out there standing up...a lot of chicks just go down n sunbake - personally i dont see the enjoyment they seem to get out of lying on the beach 4 hours on end slowly burning to a crisp. although they look good

donavon frankenreiter said "it doesnt matter what your riding, as long as your enjoying urself" i agree

chookie - u enjoy rifing 'shithouse looking, dinged boards' ???
p.s if they go alright then wat dus it matter wat they look like?

whale beach. it apparently cranks in a 6'+ NE swell. iv only surfed whaley once n it wasnt the best day 4 surf but iv seen fotos n heard all about it...in small surf even theres often good banks up near the northern end

Seriously there are questions being asked here that shouldnt be answered. . WHERE IS THE WEDGE> . . .

Far out. . . Why do we go out of our way to rate the best beaches. . .I mean we all share the water and all that. . .but. . . How about we direct everyone who has an english accent to Manly. . . CAUSE WE ALL KNOW IT IS THE BEST WAVE ON THE NORTHERN BEACH's and then we can all go and surf our favouriet breaks without the hassle of backpackers who think they rip. . .

Personal favourate beach on the northern beaches is. . . Umm . . . How about turrimetta. . .
