OK, I am sitting here working (well not at this EXACT instant, which is procrastination time). I've got my 4000-song strong iTunes library set to party shuffle, so here's what's just been played, and here's what's coming up:

Who do you love: The Jesus & Mary Chain
Take your time:Spiritualized
Funny Feeling: Meat Beat Manifesto
Los Angeles: Benjamin Biolay
Freezer burn/ I wanna be your dog: Sonic Youth
Won't come between: Holly Golightly
Then Comes Dudley: The Jesus Lizard
Human being: The beta Band
Get Lost: Bailter Space
Make it tonight: The Hellacopters
Viva Las Vegas: The KING!
(silence): ciccone youth

and so on.

back to work

Col.

Music for whatever occasion. Doesn't particulary matter what it is. So long as it's good.

No rap crap !!!

Alot of the younger surfers (20 and under) listen to hardcore punk which verges emo sometimes, and that is real scary to see. Also 50 cent and all that bling rap/pop stuff is making an impression on more than a few dudes surfing the mid northern beaches region (Long Reef included sadle enough)
Im into the old stuff:
The Clash
The Kinks
The Ramones
Sex Pistols
Beach Boys
Ventures
Dick Dale
Ray Barbee
Jimi Hendrix
-just to name a few-

Kick back and enjoy Stevie Ray Vaughn and Chris Whitley
Al this is gold. "She didn't realise I was fairly high and spent much of the evening trying to figure out why a purple and orange cow wanted me to climb a tree."

I'm with you mate, I listen to pretty much anything, depends on the mood etc. But if I'm going for fav's at the moment I'll be sticking with Heavy Metal and Punk,

Any band that they let play at the Trade Union Club during the 80's and Killing Joke who played elsewhere

Did you see the DK's there? They played with the Johnnys.
Seem to remember it was when spitting was in vogue. (That was pre-aids all you youngsters - so don't go getting any ideas)

Yeah Spencer put my name on the door...Don't remenber too much though

Did you go to Bad Seeds, Saints, Laughing Clowns??, Johnny's gig?

Those were the days when music was real and most pubs had bands, not Pokies and the odd DJ or the evil "K" or "T" word

Saw em a few times weren't bad,
Anyone go to the Rockin wrestling - psychotic turnbuckle, Johnny's etc

Hey didn't the skinheads follow the Johnny's to the Strawberry Hill Hotel after the DKs gigs. They had a thing like in the Blues Bros where you throw your empty beer can onto the stage. One of the band complained the cans were empty so a skinhead pegged a full one at full pace. The drummer ended up with a few stitches. Hard to duck when you're playing drums. I know - played at the Viking Hotel Milpera once ina 80's haircut band!
